York City to New
England and Canada

We embark September 16, 2009, in New York
City on Holland America
Line's brand-new showcase ship, the Eurodam. We will witness the
spectacular fall foliage of New England and Canada, plus visit seaside
destinations, such as Newport, Rhode Island; Boston; Bar Harbor, Maine;
Halifax and Sidney, Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, Prince Edwards Island;
up the St. Lawrence River to Saquenay and its Fjord; and then spend a
day and night in Quebec before disembarking.
(Note: The cruise will not conflict with our 50th Reunion, which is
scheduled for the weekend of November 14-15, 2009.)

include taxes, fees, but do not include $90
for gratuities (a.k.a. "Hotel Service Charge") for dining room wait
staff and cabin stewards or a 15% service charge on bar bills. However, fares also do not
reflect the $100 credit given to each cabin.

insurance or airfare. However, Holland America offers cancellation
protection plans* (discussed below)
and an airfare plan that are reasonably priced. For more details on the

Note: If you
purchase one of Holland America's Cancellation Protection Plans,
the amount of refund will depend on the plan you purchase.
Cancellation
Protection Plans
The following plans are as per published in Holland America’s brochure
for 2009 Canada & New England cruises:
Standard Plan
This is not
travel insurance, e.g., you do not have to prove a covered reason for
cancellation, such as illness. Rather if you cancel for any
reason up to 24 hours prior to departure, you'll receive a
refund of 80% of the applicable cancellation fee. For
example, assume you cancel 28 to 16 days prior to departure. Under the
Standard Plan you would receive 80% of the 75% cancellation fee. If you
cancel 15 days or less prior to departure (but more than 24 hours prior
to departure), you would receive 80% of the gross fare you paid.
Platinum Plan
Under this
plan,
if you cancel up to 24 hours before departure, the plan works just like
the Standard Plan, except you receive a refund equal to 90%
of the applicable cancellation fee. However, this coverage also
applies to cancellation within the 24 hours prior to
departure. Additionally, this plan provides travel insurance, such
as for trip interruption, trip delay, emergency evacuation and medical
expenses incurred during the cruise.
Example of Costs
Assume your fare
is $2,002. The Standard Plan costs $189; the Platinum Plan
costs $259.
Protection
Plan payment is
due at
the time of booking and is nonrefundable.
