Turn right. Go 0.1 mile to Palm Yucca. Turn right. Go 0.1 mile. Palm Yucca dead ends at Hawthorn. Turn right. 7120 is the 4th house on the left. From Tramway: Go West on Paseo, then North on Wyoming. Look for Blue Cypress about 1 mile north of Alameda (it is called Glendale to the right, Blue Cypress and the entrance to the housing development to the left.) Take an immediate left onto Automn which curves around to the East and becomes Hawthorn. A mile or so gets you to 7120. |
I'm interested to see the Club's response to this book. A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman was originally published in Aug 2012. 337 pages in length. There are 20 copies in our Library system, inexpensive used copies are plentiful, and it is also available on Kindle. |

We've been reading other people's books for 25 years. The
Selection for the September 2018 meeting was specifically created for the members and by the members of the Last
Thursday Book Club. The original content consists of memoirs submitted by each
active member (and a couple of former members). We will
distribute this Anniversary Booklet at the August meeting for a members-only price of $10. It's gotta be an A!. |

All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque is a classic about the German view of World War I. There are 7 copies in the Albuquerque library. Used copies are readily available and it can be purchased for Kindle. It's also a relatively short book: 288 pages The 1930 movie is a good one: quite faithful to the book, enjoyable, and also available in our ABC Library System.. |
